It all started when I was living in Southwest Florida. I was taking an adult education basic Spanish language class at the local high school back in 2013. One day, I decided to flip through next semesters program to see what other classes they offered. My eye caught a class for soap making. I thought "that would be cool." Sounded like fun and a neat skill to learn. I knew nothing about soap making except from a few scenes from one of my favorite movies Fight Club. Something about using lye and fat. And that lye was very caustic. That was the extent of it. In any event, I signed up. Six weeks later I made my first batch of cold process soap.

Throughout the years, I enjoyed experimenting with different oils, fragrances, and colors. Fast forward to 2020. I moved to the Pacific Northwest and honed my soap making skills. I started Wonder Mountain Soap Co. in 2023 because there was a lack of soap in the market that contained natural antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral ingredients while at the same time left your skin moisturized and radiant.

Today, having clean and healthy skin is more important than ever. Bacteria, such as staph, are becoming more resistant and harder to kill, leading to more hospitalizations than ever before. 1 in 5 ER visits is for skin infections. The power of essential oils has been used for thousands of years. I researched the data and found the most effective essential oils that fight against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Now you can benefit with these essential oils using our soap. 

All of our bars include moisturizing ingredients such as shea butter and olive oil. We add colloidal oatmeal which adds a soothing feeling and gentle exfoliation leaving your skin feeling smooth. We top it off with papaya extract, which contains natural papain enzymes and vitamin C to break down dead skin cells, promote cell renewal, brighten, and smooth skin.
